Experience

Lisa joined the Firm in 1994 and became a partner in 1999, demonstrating her commitment and leadership over the past two decades. She earned her law degree from Santa Clara University in 1992, followed by an LL.M. in taxation from Golden Gate University in 1993.

Throughout her distinguished career, Lisa has provided expert legal representation to numerous individuals and families, specializing in complex estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, family business succession, closely held business planning, tax planning, tax litigation, charitable planning, estate and gift tax disputes, trust administration, and probate matters. She is a published author and has presented before prestigious bodies such as the United States Senate Finance Committee and the Treasury Department in Washington, D.C., addressing the complex regulations with respect to the Federal Generation-Skipping Transfer Tax.

Lisa's excellence in her field has earned her the distinction of being recognized as a California Super Lawyer in Estate Planning and Probate for 20 years. Additionally, in December 2019, Lisa was recognized and selected by her peers for her professional achievements as one of Northern California’s Top Women Attorneys, further underscoring her significant contributions to the legal community.

Community and Association

Lisa is a member of the California State Bar Association, Santa Clara County Bar Association, and American Bar Association. She has served on the Santa Clara County Bar Association’s Section on Taxation, Estate Planning, and Young Tax Lawyers. She is a life member of the Kingston’s National Registry of Who’s Who published in the 2002 Edition, and while in law school, Lisa also served as an Associate Editor for the Santa Clara University Law Review.

Beyond her professional achievements, Lisa is deeply philanthropic. In addition to her past philanthropic endeavors, she currently serves as Board member and Vice President of Open Doors to Future Possibilities, is a member of the Advisor Steering Committee for the Catholic Community Foundation, and a Board member of the San Jose Police Department Foundation. Furthermore, she is a dedicated supporter of the YWCA's annual fundraising event.
